Jackie Brown is the name of a flight attendant who gets caught smuggling her boss' gun money on the airline she works for. Luckily for her, the Fed Ray Nicolet and the LA Cop Mark Dargus decide to team up in order to arrest the arms dealer she works for, whose name they don't even know. Here's when she has to choose one way: tell Nicolet and Dargus about Ordell Robbie (the arms dealer) and get her freedom -except that if Ordell suspects you're talking about him, you're dead- or keep her mouth shut and do some time. That's when she meets Max Cherry -her bail bondsman-, a late fifties, recently separated, burnt-out man, who falls in love with her. Then Jackie comes up with a plan to play the Feds off against Ordell and the guys he works with -Louis Gara and Melanie Ralston, among others- and walk off with their money. But she needs Max's help. No one is going to stand in the way of his million dollar payoff...

Like other films by Quentin Tarantino, Jackie Brown has more than its fair share of deadly violence. Although you may think that Sam Jackson and Pam Grier are stars of the film, this DVD film Jackie Brown is all about Tarantino angle in the worlds most of us know nothing about (and do not care if we did). It is smart, brings offenders, laughs at the police and kills off the characters at regular intervals. Unlike some of his later films, Jackie Brown is at times - and some of his scenes (Pam Grier walking and then running to the gate on time of flight) are too long. I guess you have to say that Grier is the star of this film, because the plot revolves around her, but Sam Jackson overshadows his (in my opinion).

Contrary to Pulp Fiction, which was very unusual and flashy editing situations, Jackie Brown, focuses more on characters who are essentially human beings with very specific problems, such as aging is a prominent theme in the film. No one's wrong in this. They have real interesting personality and I felt strangely comfortable to see them talk, eat, kill, and discuss with others. Tarantino is an excellent storyteller and I would write dialogue as interesting as yours. The film: Jackie Brown flows with a slower pace than the flesh, with all its many and streched took lenghty scenes, but in doing so leaves us more time to understand the characters with all their differences. A more mature Tarantino. Still love what they do. And he said before the DivX Movie Jackie Brown came out: "This is a volume to a child and then 'Paste'. It is not an epic, is not an opera. He is a character study."

A good film, but only half of Tarantino. I liked the performance, of course, and the plot was not bad. But it is not close to where films like Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction not even touch. However, it is fun to watch, and is a great rental if you've never seen. 8 / 10.

Jackie Brown is the first Quentin Tarantino Jackie Brown film I've seen, and I loved it. In my opinion, Tarantino is one of the best directors around the crime today, along with Martin Scorsese and Brian De Palma. Jackie Brown is an excellent Jackie Brown Drama movie of all kinds, with an all-star cast, including Samuel L. Jackson, Robert De Niro, Bridget Fonda etc. However, theactors who really stole the show Greir Pam and Robert Forster.With this is their second collaboration together, Greir and Forsterare the perfect duo in the DivX film Jackie Brown of the network of deception and betrayal. The script and direction of Quentin Tarantino are impressive, with lots of crisp dialogue in Tarantino fashion. I am disappointed that this classic Tarantino is not among the Top 250 IMDb as all other works, because this DivX Movie Jackie Brown certainly deserves it. In general, a must-see for fans of Quentin Tarantino's DivX Movie Jackie Brown and lovers of a good DVD film Jackie Brown of the original crime.
